Dedicated to the memory of the amazing Joan Robson

This site is a tribute to Joan Robson, who was born in South Shields on May 05, 1945. She is much loved and will always be remembered. Sadly Joan was diagnosed with terminal pulmonary hypertension in May 2021, along with some other health related lung and heart problems. Despite this, she remained independent, practical and her usual kind and thoughtful self. She was brave and courageous right to the end. Her final hours were both tragic and beautiful, as she left us with the kindest words, love and memories that she treasured. She even managed to get us all laughing, totally amazing ! We are truly blessed to have had such a fabulous journey with her. Till we meet again ...bye bye peeps, toodle pip, so long xxx

Our Mother kept a garden.
A garden of the heart;
She planted all the good things,
That gave my life it’s start.
She turned me to the sunshine,
And encouraged me to dream:
Fostering and nurturing
The seeds of self-esteem.
And when the winds and rains came,
She protected me enough;
But not too much, she knew I’d need
To stand up strong and tough.
Her constant good example,
Always taught me right from wrong;
Markers for my pathway
To last my whole life long.
